Welcome to our Garden.  This is an award winning garden created by Mossie and Siobhan over the last 35 years.  It is a one acre ornamental garden looking on to the Galtee mountains, located on the Cork/Limerick border near Mitchelstown and Ballylanders.

It comprises of five different garden areas, the Original Garden which we started 35 years ago and comprises of trees, shrubs and some herbaceous.  The Kitchen Garden is a small circular garden outside our kitchen door and is predominately hot colours, reds, oranges and pinks.  The Pitch, as it is known, is  quite formal, it was originally the boys football pitch and comprises 3 coloured themed borders, a potting shed and a patio area.  The fruit and vegetable area comprising of six raised beds, a small glass house and a small orchard which is home to our hens.  Our most recent project is a small woodland and a wild flower meadow.

Mossie looks after the hard landscaping and hedges while I am the plants person.  I love plants, and in particular herbaceous perennials.  I have completed Jimi Blake's, one year plantspersons course at Hunting Brook Gardens in Blessington.  I thoroughly enjoyed this course, got to meet some great gardeners and got to see a lot of rare and unusual plants.  I also had the pleasure of attending a number of Helen Dillon's gardening classes .  Helen is one of my gardening idols and was a huge inspiration to me when I started gardening.   I learned a lot from her gardening programs on RTE some 35 years ago.
